Aghimuan Creatives / Interface overview

01 / Context

The problem to solve.

Aghimuan Creatives needed a central platform for a broad range of photography, videography, event, fashion, automotive, brand, and film work. A typical grid portfolio would not fully communicate the creative identity and emotion behind the work.

02 / Approach

From need to interface.

Created an immersive, editorial-style creative portfolio that feels like exploring a visual archive. Motion, atmosphere, intentional layouts, and interaction give each body of work presence while keeping services, projects, and contact details easy to find.

What I built

  • Immersive dark editorial art direction
  • Motion-led storytelling and scroll-driven visual sections
  • Portfolio archive across portraits, events, fashion, nightlife, automotive, brand, and property work
  • Video reel support with poster images
  • Category filters for intentional project discovery
  • Responsive layouts, swipeable work rails, and mobile snap scrolling
  • Grayscale-to-color hover interactions and touch-friendly alternatives
  • Optimized imagery, video assets, transparent branding, and reduced-motion support
  • Direct inquiry paths, social links, and downloadable CV

03 / Implementation

How it fits together.

A lightweight React single-page application with a creative studio homepage and a filterable /projects visual archive. Reusable React components, typed portfolio data, shared design tokens, and custom route-scroll behavior power the interface.

Decisions that shaped the build

  • Used a dark, minimal visual system so the imagery remains central
  • Used editorial layouts and layered motion to create atmosphere instead of a standard corporate structure
  • Organized work as a filterable visual archive so variety feels curated
  • Optimized photographs into WebP assets and used video posters to balance quality with loading speed
  • Added reduced-motion support and lightweight requestAnimationFrame behavior

Challenges

  • Organizing a wide range of creative work without making the archive feel cluttered
  • Making the website feel creatively alive while preserving clarity, performance, and mobile usability
  • Creating touch-friendly alternatives for interactions that rely on hover on desktop

04 / Delivery & lessons

Built, tested, and still learning.

Testing

The project passes TypeScript type checking and the Vite production build process. It has been refined for responsive layouts, mobile navigation, touch interaction, visual scrolling behavior, and reduced-motion preferences.

Deployment

Live at www.aghimuancreatives.site and delivered as a Vite static production build for fast, reliable web hosting.

What I took forward

  • Creative portfolios should feel as intentional as the work they showcase
  • The strongest result came from treating the website as part of the creative output itself
  • Visual expression must be balanced with structure, speed, accessibility, and ease of exploration
